We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore, are the final authority for faith and conduct.
We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divinely determined dispensations or rules of life which define man’s responsibilities in successive ages.
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
We believe that God the Father is the first person of the Trinity and is the eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfect holy, Creator, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We believe that He is the divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that it sets forth in picture the essential truths of the Gospel-the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that it gives testimony to what has taken place in the believer-death to sin and resurrection to walk in newness of life; and, that baptism after salvation is an act of obedience and is a prerequisite for local church membership.
We believe that the Lord’s supper is a commemoration of the Lord’s death to be observed till He comes; that the elements-the bread and the fruit of the vine are only symbols of His broken body and shed blood, and that our observance of it is a pictorial testimony of the believer’s fellowship with the crucified Savior, and should be preceded by solemn heart-searching and self-judgment.
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord.
We believe in that blessed hope, the personal, premillenial imminent return of Christ, Who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
We believe that Satan is a person, is Lucifer, a fallen angel, and is the Devil, the author of sin and an agent in the Fall of Man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man.
We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.
We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one naturally-born man and one naturally-born woman for life.
We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life.
We believe that we should demonstrate love for others, not only toward fellow believers, but also toward both those who are not believers, those who oppose us, and those who engage in sinful actions. We are to deal with those who oppose us graciously, gently, patiently, and humbly. Although God commands us to abhor sinful actions, we are to love and pray for any person who engages in such sinful actions.
We believe that God has given to the Church the Great Commission to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all peoples and nations; and, that, as the Lord’s ambassadors we are obligated to use all available means of winning lost souls to Him; that we are to be diligent and zealous in our evangelistic efforts both personally and as a church praying and giving to Scriptural missionary endeavors around the world.
